Portland, ME – Robert Milford Jackson, 72, of Porter and formerly of South Portland died on Monday, October 22, 2012, at Mercy Hospital. He was the husband of Lorraine M. (Tuttle) Jackson. He was born in Rumford, ME on June 4, 1940 a son of the late Milford & Shirley (Frost) Jackson. He grew up in South Portland, attending local area schools and was a Maine resident most of his life.
Bob was a welder, working for Maine Tank until retiring due to an illness in 1998. For the past four years, he had been volunteering at the Brownfield Food Pantry in Brownfield, ME.
Bob was described as a jack of all trades and a master of none. He liked a finding a good bargain and enjoyed looking for them at yard sales and goodwill. He also loved his cats, especially Fluffy, his favorite.
Besides his wife of 44 years, he is survived by his son William Tuttle and his fiancée’ Tammy McCormick of Porter, his two sister-in-laws Shirley and Donna, two nieces Mary & Lori as well as three sisters, one brother and several other nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 9 – 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 733 Main Street, Westbrook followed by a graveside service in Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland at approximately 11 am officiated by Pastor Rich Gustafson.
