Died: Sep 8, 2012
Portland, ME — Michal R. Jensen, 69, of Portland died on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Seaside Nursing Home after a long battle with cancer.
Michal was born in Souix City, Iowa on July 18, 1943 a daughter of the late Herman & Dona (McDonald) Rahn. She grew up in Souix City, attending local area schools.
She served her country as a US Marine between 1963 and 1965. She lived in many areas across the country before moving to Maine in the late 1980’s.
She spent the last ten years working as a CNA for New England Rehab in Portland and prior to that did data entry for Blue Cross & Blue Shield.
She had an affinity for animals, rescuing several over the years and was devoted to her latest dog, Beauty. Michal also enjoyed shopping, which was her favorite pastime. It didn’t matter what she was shopping for, she enjoyed buying things for others. Walks along the beach, especially Old Orchard Beach, was also something she was very fond of.

She also leaves six grandchildren Cody Benson, Christian Lockwood and his wife Ashley, Jennifer, Eric, Matthew and Sienna Jensen as well as a great grandchild Korbin Lockwood, a sister Patricia Keller and her husband John of Denver, CO and several nieces and nephews.
