Scarborough, ME – Donald M. Adams, 63, of Biddeford and formerly of Pecos, New Mexico died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. He was the husband of Autumn D. (Witcraft) Adams.
He was born in Waterville, Maine on January 19, 1949 a son of the late Donald R. Adams & Ellen A. (Phillips) Durkee. He grew up in Portland and attended Portland schools.
During the Vietnam War he proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a member of the VFW.
Don worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years and then as a truck driver for the US Post Office before retiring in 1995.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his stepfather Bob Durkee; children Seanna Lobue and her husband Chris, William Adams and his wife Sophia and Dawn Adele Adams and her fiancé James Goodine. He leaves five grandchildren, Autumn, Caleb, Devon, Hailee Jo and Katrina; his three sisters Sylvia White and her husband Fred, Elizabeth White and her husband John, Peggy Strout and her husband Cliff, and his brother Randall Adams and his wife Pam along with several nieces and nephews.
He was an avid dog lover and will be missed by his two labs Luke and Sam, his Rottweiler Rowdy and his Yorkshire Terrier Chihuahua, Pito, who was by his side until the end.
