Bobbie Callahan – explorer, pioneer, survivor and humanist – passed away Friday, Sept. 14th, 2012 after life rich with friends and full of love.
 
She was born and grew up in Portland, ME graduating from Deering High School in 1971. Bobbie was the most loyal of friends, discreet and non-judgmental. She embodied the best characteristics of her humanitarian, democratic star sign, Aquarius. Her greatest legacy is the loving memories that her many friends and family will always cherish. Bobbie lived her life to the fullest on her own terms.
 
She was talented artist, and enjoyed reading autobiographies and the old movie classics. She worked as a Master Hair Stylist in San Francisco and had many celebrity clients. Her career continued when she moved back to Maine with Regis Hair Salon. She had a huge heart and a kind and caring nature, a bright light in all our lives and will be sadly missed.
 
She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Leona Callahan and her sister Margie MacDougall.
Survived by: sisters Jean Perry of Renton, Washington, Linda Grover of Gorham, Maine, Jennifer Harvey of Portland, ME; brothers Frank Callahan and wife Barbara of Portland, John Callahan and wife Elaine of California, brother-in-law William MacDougall of Standish, Maine and many nieces, nephews and friends.
 
There will be a celebration of her life for close friends and family at Blackstone Cafe on Pine Street Portland on Friday September 21st from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
