Paul Musica, 53, of Biddeford Maine passed away December 11, 2015 at SMHC in Biddeford after a long battle of health problems. His sister and brother in law, Carolyn and Lee were by his side.
Paul was born August 30, 1962 in South Amboy, New Jersey. His predeceased parents were Anthony and Ann Musica of Sayreville, New Jersey where Paul grew up. He Attended Sayreville High School.
Paul lived and worked in Sandy Hook and Highland New Jersey before moving to Philadelphia Pennsylvania and then to Maine. He was a fisherman and carpenter and masonry throughout his lifetime. Had his own business in Philly for a while.
Paul was well known as Paulie and his nickname Paulie Bear. Paulie’s love for life was exuberating and he had a remarkable sense of humor. His favorite times of the year were July 4th and Christmas. He was an avid music lover, especially Blue Oyster Cult, which he had seen perform live 45x. A longstanding Jets and New Jersey Devils fan, loving drag races and motorcycles, particularly BMW’s. He also loved tattoos, bears were his favorite.
His recovery from addiction was his cornerstone to helping others, a cigarette, a handshake, a dollar, a ride Paulie was always eager to comfort and support and was well noted.
Your beautiful personality and loving spirit will be missed by many, my brother. As a friend recently said…”Never was there a better Bear” Rest in Peace Paulie.
Paul is survived by his brother Anthony Musica Jr. of NJ, a sister Carolyn Musica and her husband Lee Hindman, of Maine, another sister Deborah Ewtushek of NJ, a niece April Henderson of WA and a nephew Paul Henderson of NH.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday January 3rd at the Sahara Club located at 135 Washington Ave. Portland, Maine at 2-4pm. There will be a short service by Arty a close friend and a pot luck will be available. Please come join us in Remembrance.
