South Portland – Paul W. “Buddy” Smith, 54, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at his home.
Buddy was born on April 18, 1961 in Portland, Maine to Judith Robbins Smith and Paul W. Smith Sr. As a young child Buddy moved to Limington where he was raised by his mother and step father Joseph R. Siciliani. Buddy graduated from Bonney Eagle High School in 1979 as a member of the 5th Maine Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps.
He moved to Windham in 1987 and married Michele Latini in 1988. Windham is where Buddy called home, raising his two children Paul and Carly Smith.
Buddy worked for United Van Lines after high school, moving then to NAPA Auto Parts in Westbrook where he worked for 17 years in the customer service department. After NAPA he worked at Morong Falmouth, VIP auto parts and Sebago Lake Chevrolet.
Buddy loved plants, flowers, bird watching and going to the ocean for quality sun time. He was someone who would help others in any way that he could and always wanted there to be a smile on your face.
Paul “Buddy” Smith was survived by his two children Paul N. Smith of Portland and Carly L. Smith of Windham, his Stepfather Joseph R. Siciliani, siblings Kelly E. Hague, Margaret Boudreau, Jennifer Siciliani, Joseph Siciliani, Sally Cocco. He also leaves nieces and nephews Alex I. Hague, Hannah M. Hague, John A. Siciliani, Gianna G. Pride, Michael Cocco, Moriah Siciliani and Trenton Norberg. Buddy was predeceased by his mother, Judith R. Siciliani and sister Cynthia L. Siciliani.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on October 17, 2015 from 11am to 3pm at the home of Margaret Boudreau, located at 729 Ossipee Trail, Limington, Maine.
