Scarborough- Helen Elizabeth Sellers, 85, of South Portland, passed away on January 20, 2015 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
Helen was born in Winthrop, ME, on May 15, 1929, a daughter of the late Arthur Edward and Helen Mary (Flanders) Pingree. Helen graduated from Portland High School in 1947.
She worked at the Salvation Army for 33 years. Helen enjoyed reading and playing games. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, and she was a season ticket holder to the Maine Mariners.
Surviving Helen are her two children; Bruce Sellers, and his wife Jennifer and Catherine Shaw and her husband David; her four grandchildren Matthew, Jesse, Patrick and Jade; her brother Roger Pingree, of FL; her two sisters, Sarah Libby and Jane Johnson, both of Scarborough; and many nieces and nephews. Helen is predeceased by her husband Roland J. “Sully” Sellers.
A graveside service will be held at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress Street, Portland on April 24, 2015 at 12 p.m.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 981 Forest Ave, Portland, ME.
