Erlon R. Pike

Auburn, ME – Erlon Randall Pike, 66 of Oxford, ME died on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Auburn Hospice House.  He was the husband of Lois A. (Wilkins) Pike.

 

He was born in Lewiston, ME on September 23, 1948 a son of the late Erlon A. Pike and Theva C. (Fickett) Pike of New York.  Erlon was a lifelong resident of Oxford.

 

He worked as the manager of Bear Paw Timber in Waterford for many years and also managed the Oxford Transfer Station until his retirement.  He enjoyed raising and working his oxen, in the woods and showing them at the fairs.  He also loved music and dancing on Saturday nights, he was always ready to stop and have a conversation with anyone.

 

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his sister Sharon Seamon of Oxford, his four children James Pike and his wife Paula, Coleen Toothaker, Mildred Kenney and her husband David and Enid Cummings, as well as twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.  He also leaves his step mother Nellie Pike and six half brothers and sisters, Alvin, Gordon, Julie, Lorie, Faith and Trudy and his cousin Bion of Waterford.  He was also predeceased by his first wife Anita and his grandson Jared Toothaker.
