Naomi J. Libby

Auburn, ME – Naomi J. Libby, 43, of Auburn died unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, April 27, 2014.

She was born on August 15, 1970 in Portland, ME a daughter of Robert Q. Libby of Auburn and Lois A. (Wilkins) Pike and husband Randell, of Oxford.  Naomi grew up both in Rumford and Oxford Hills; she attended local area schools and graduated from Oxford Hills High School, class of 1988.  After high school she attended the University of Maine, Orono and then obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Norwich University in Vermont.

After college, she moved to Portland, OR, where she spent ten years working in her field; she moved back to Maine and began running a group home in Lisbon for Tri County Mental Health.

She was a very caring person who enjoyed bird watching and loved her two cats Zeppo and Chico.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her sister Justine Libby of Portland, ME and her maternal grandmother Ruth N. Wilkins of Westbrook.  She also leaves two uncles William Wilkins Jr. of Charleston, ME and Dr. Douglas C. Libby of Belo Horizonte, Brazil as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service in Blanchard Cemetery, Cumberland will be held at a time to be announced.
