Portland, ME – Floyd E. Malcolm, 82, of Woolwich, died on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Maine Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Lois E. (Lockert) Malcolm.
Floyd grew up in Penobscot county and spent most of his life working on a dairy farm. He spent a short time in Connecticut and upon his return to Maine he drove construction vehicles until he retired. Retirement didn’t sit well with Floyd as he needed to keep busy. He went to work for Five Islands Boat Yard in Georgetown and also delivered newspaper for the Times Record, Portland Press Herald and the Coastal Journal.
He enjoyed working on all types of cars, playing cribbage and his vegetable garden. He truly enjoyed being around people, both family and friends.
He was the father of eleven children including, April, Rhonda, Debbie, June, Nancy and Linda. He leaves numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as two brothers, Perry and Dwayne, a sister Dottie and several nieces and nephews. He also was the brother of Warren and Arlene, who have passed away.
There will be no services.
